Updated: Jan 5, 2022

January 5, 2022

In honor of Mavis & Patricia Shirley, the Pathways to Success Education Consulting, LLC., will award a one-time $1,000 scholarship to one recipient from the class of 2022 from the Northeastern Academy Main Campus. The Mavis & Patricia Shirley Memorial Scholarship was created to honor a mother and daughter who believed wholeheartedly in Adventist education and saw fit to ensure that children from the Shirley family attended the Northeastern Academy Main Campus, located in New York City.

The scholarship will be awarded to one deserving high school senior to help offset educational costs. The award is targeted to honor a high school senior who exhibits personal integrity and excellence through academic achievement, community outreach, and church involvement. The awardee must demonstrate a moderate need for financial assistance in attaining their higher educational goals and attend a Historical Black College or University (HBCU).

Mrs. Kisha Hugh-Abban, director of the Pathways To Success Educational Consulting, LLC., and former Northeastern Academy teacher, will conduct the search to find and award the worthy recipient.
